Hermosa Y Protegida
The kids first Latino transgender beauty pageant!

The contestants

Beautiful Night!
Gus started getting a little bored (it was all in Spanish)
Lilly on the other hand was amazed and LOVED all the sparkles and "princesses" she wanted to know why all the girls were "prettier then her"!
The first contestant for the "fantasy" competition
This Mariposa was so grande she needed help from muchos hombres just to get on stage!
She was so pretty, when she put her staffs down the fans unfolded
Runner up for our favorite. Sadly this photo does not due the costume justice. The feathers were brown but the ones on the end were bright orange and magenta...super pretty.
Our pick...absolutely stunning, her costume lit up blue and had the most amazing feathers in the back. Quite the show stopper!! Lilly's quote when she walked on stage was, "Now we're talking, this is the best princess EVER!"
Again not a great photo but these ladies did an amazing job putting together these costumes!

The kids did not know that the contestants were transgender however you could see that they were a bit puzzled here and there not only with the contestants but with the crowd as well. They had a great time and job well done by the Center Orange County for putting on a very important and fun pageant!
