Mother's Day
Starting with a picnic
On a more somber note, Veterans For Peace have a memorial called Arlington West at the base of Santa Monica Pier. Looking at this gave Mother's Day a slightly different perspective and my thoughts and love go out to all the families and mothers in the U.S., Iraq, and Afghanistan who have lost their sons and mothers to the war.
The white crosses represent individuals that have died, the red represent 10 people who have died and the flag draped coffins symbolize the deaths that happened this week.
