Mammoth Day Four
The last morning of our camping adventure! Last night went better on the girls side of the camper, Lilly and I slept relatively well except when I woke up panicked that she had fallen out of the trailer. Unbeknowest to me on the other side of the trailer the boys were having a tougher time. Gus had started to fall out and woke up his papa yelling, "I'm falling" and he truly was! What we didn't know was that the night before Gus had gone around the trailer undoing all the fasteners that sealed it...didn't work out well for him. I am happy to report though that his father saved him and he did not completely fall out into the night. All of that was then followed by a "bathroom" accident (Gus not Chip)...so like I said...the girls side was a lot calmer...whew!
The culprit...we now realize we need to keep a better eye on him!
It was very hectic closing up the trailer and getting on our way. The goal to leave at 12 unfortunately was not achieved and we did not pull out of Mammoth until about 2! By then everyone was pretty tired and grumpy. We were able to make it to Lone Pine and at that point had to get out and get a breath of fresh air. We stopped at a little park that ended up being one of the nicest parks we have been to....highly recommend if you ever find yourself in Lone Pine! Here is Lilly discovering the creek that ran through it.
And here is Chip taking his kid in for a dip...I think this is one of the reasons I fell in love with him!
Gus was in heaven
Can't forget Lillian
Isn't it pretty?
The family
I think it is impossible to ever get a good picture of them all!
Still hoping to catch something!

Let the fighting begin!
Lilly not enjoying her brother

A little yoga to relax

Headed over to the play area to dry

A little clover picking before we reload and get going
We had a fantastic time in Mammoth, the kids loved camping so we will for sure be doing more of it. Definitely learned a few things...get rid of the plates and glasses in the camper, paper works fine and is easier to clean, don't even try to keep your kids clean, bring all coolers in, even if they are empty to avoid night visits from bears, check all the camper ties before bed, and go with the flow because if you don't you will stress yourself out.
