Happy New Year! So just to catch you up on what has been going on in 2009...

Lillian now attends Preschool with her brother and they seem to really enjoy going to school together! She is doing fantastic there and seems to be quite the teachers helper. They both love music, Gus's favorite song is ACDC's "Dirty Deeds" and Lilly's is Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline". Many a car ride is spent with them arguing over which one we will listen to.
They both are movie fanatics and Gus spends most of his time repeating all the lines he has memorized. Their current favorites are Monsters Inc, Shrek, Nemo and Toy Story. Lilly saw her first in theater movie, The Princess and the Frog and did great. It was especially funny when she decided to wear the popcorn container on her head! She is certainly a character...whenever you use a term of endearment or nickname (I call her Birdy) with her she corrects you by saying, "I'm not birdy, I'm Lilly Hannah Pope"...it's pretty funny. She definitely knows how to assert herself!

They have certainly kept us very busy throughout 2009 and have presented us with many a challenge but no matter how tired, frustrated or angry we get, nothing could be better then being a parent to these two little people.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the love and support you have given us this year. It was a tough year for us but we made it through and came out a lot stronger. Here is a good quote to carry into the New Year, "Challenges are what make life interesting; Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful" and getting through everything was easier because of you..so thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and here is looking towards a Happy and HEALTHY 2010!!
